Hi, I’m Dave. I am an interdisciplinary artist and designer working in Camden, Maine.

I’m currently making art at Pittman Studio, serving as Principal at Harmless Studio, and working as a hired gun for the fine folks at Athletics.

Over the years, I have co-founded 18 companies or brands, including an ethics-driven brand agency, the world’s largest vegan store, a print magazine, a Kickstarter-funded organic taco bike, and a coworking space for digital creatives.

Outside of all of that, I was a creative director at the multinational ad agency Y&R (now VML), where I co-founded a special projects office called Y&R Moonshop.

As a designer and art director, I have worked for small non-profits, Fortune 100 companies, and everywhere in between.

I hold a master’s in industrial design from the Rhode Island School of Design (where I also sometimes teach), a certificate in collegiate teaching in art and design from the Rhode Island School of Design, a bachelor’s in cultural production and film from Vanderbilt University, and professional accreditation in vegan interior design from VeganDesign.org. I am a graduate a Phillips Exeter Academy, and I was a member of OS13 at the Oxbow School. I am a former member of the American Institute for Graphic Artists (AIGA) and the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA).
